Life & Work Readiness for Young Women

Work It! is a life and work readiness program for young women and girls. Our goal is to prepare young people for the working world by providing tools to help them achieve their goals. In this program, we focus on helping students set realistic goals for their life; learn how to socially engage with others in professional settings; learn how money works to make financial decisions; and harness their interests, skills and talents to identify career paths, job search and get ready for work. We like to do this in a fun and interactive way by taking a Journey to Sasstopia to get to know how the Sassnistas like to get the conversation poppin’ in these #SassyStreets!

The curriculum is broken into four sections that are focused on building life and work readiness skills. Each section has several lessons that are a combination of self-reflection, trivia and group activities. Students will leave the Work It! program with a strong foundation and a set of tools to navigate school, work and life.
